MID-WINTER SKIER/RIDER IMPROVEMENT CAMP

Snowcrest Ski and Snowboard Center has been on the cutting edge of quality ski & snowboard instruction since 1976. Utilizing the Mogulslope Snowsports Trainer we have aided thousands in improving their snowsports ability.

Since 1997 we have offered improvement camps with the Winter Park Skier & Rider Improvement Center. This mid-winter trip offers intense coaching to effect a positive change in your skiing and snowboarding abilities. If you want to improve your skills on ice, crud, powder, bumps or just gain more confidence skiing and riding the mountain, this trip is for you.

Here at Snowcrest we recognize that skiing and snowboarding are equipment intensive sports. We feel your equipment works for or against you. That’s why our staff is combined with the best certified PSIA instructors, USSCA coaches & America’s Best Bootfitters. There is no one better qualified to aid you with your technique, equipment or alignment issues.

We have achieved huge accomplishments with our students by utilizing the best instructors in the business. Our students continue to improve on their own long after the camp is finished. Join us January 13 - 18 and be ready to boost your ability level and have fun doing it !!!!!

 

DATES, TIMES & VALUABLE EXTRAS

DATES AND TIMES:

• Skill Improvement Days – Jan 14 - 17 2008
• Skill Improvement Times – 9:00am – 12:00pm
• Free skiing & riding with Jennifer, Bob, Tom & Andy – 1:00pm – 3:00pm
• Intro to Snowboarding and/or intro to Snowbiking may also be available in the afternoon for an extra fee.

CLASS SIZE:

5 – 6 Participants per Instructor/Coach (afternoon groups may be larger)

VALUABLE EXTRAS:

• A special video focused on YOU! – the 1st and last days.
• Two Indoor Group Sessions on the MOGULESLOPE SKI DECK at
  SNOWCREST SKI CENTER. (Date TBD) repetitive exercises on the trainer are proven to provide correct movement patterns prior to getting on snow. ($100 value)
• Equipment Demos from top ski manufacturers
• Free Alignment Analysis provided by SNOWCREST, customer must have
  custom insoles. (Available to Ski participants signing up before October15th
  2007) ($150.00 VALUE).

COACHING STAFF PROFILES:

All of the coaches share a passion for improvement in their own coaching and stay current by acting as trainers and students of the sport they teach.

BOB BARNES: Two term Member PSIA National Alpine Demonstration team & Winter Park Skier/Rider Improvement Center Director. He continues to coach at many PSIA academies.

TOM GABRIELSE: PSIA-C Level III Instructor, Attended PSIA/IMSIA Academy ’01 Whistler, Canada, Owner of Snowcrest Ski Center, Co-Director of Snowcrest Ski School, Represented PSIA-C at National Alpine Demo Team tryouts 1996. 30+ years ski instructor, Alignment Specialist. Attended ‘06 PSIA Academy at Chamonix France. Equipment tester for Ski Press Magazine and Realskiers.com.

JIM BANAS: PSIA-C Level III Instructor. PSIA/MSIA Academy Attendance, 2001, Whistler Canada. Technical Director Snowcrest Ski School, 25+ Years Ski Instructor.

JENNIFER METZ: PSIA-RM divisional clinic leader & examiner Winter Park Skier/Rider Improvement Center staff trainer/Master Instructor, 25+ Years Full Time Ski Instructor/Coaching Experience. She represented PSIA-RM at National Alpine Demo tryouts, 2000. A Ski Magazine Top 100 Ski Instructor.

TODD METZ: 04/05”Colorado Ski Country Instructor of the Year !!!! “PSIA-RM divisional clinic leader & examiner, Winter park Skier/Rider Improvement Center staff trainer/Master Instructor, 25+ Years Full Time Instructor/Coaching Experience.
